Roll Independent operates via uploading and downloading films. A filmmaker uploads a film and it becomes available for purchase. A film lover chooses a film, purchases and downloads the film.

Where does the Film go when Downloaded?
The film will save just like any other download to the location selected e.g. desktop, etc.
What if My Download is Interrupted?
A download link is available under “My Account – Orders” for 48hrs after purchase
How Long does it take to Download a Film?
This has many factors, how long is the film, film format, internet speed, what time of day you are downloading. Usually ranges from 5 to 30 minutes depending on the above factors.

How long does it take to Upload?
Uploading depends on the size of the file, internet speed, and time of day. Your trailer should be no longer than 30 seconds and should take from 5 to 10 minutes to upload, the feature will take longer the larger the file.
Recommendation: Upload on a computer that is hooked up to a modem, wireless connection can break and interrupt the upload. Upload in the smallest format possible without compromising quality like H 2.64. Upload at night.
What happens if I get an error message or failed upload?
Chances are it’s on a wireless connection try uploading with a computer hooked up to a modem.
How long will the film take to post?
Allow 48 hours after upload to post.
Who decides price?
The filmmaker decides how much to sell their film for.
How much to the actually make?
The filmmaker will receive 70% of revenue, paid once a month.
